Trust in Relationships

It can take years to build and just a matter of seconds to break.

Over my years of practice I have helped many couples and families work through the process of re-building trust.

Some insights from my experience below:

πŸ”— Infidelity is not the only way relational trust is broken. There can be financial betrayal, isolation, violence, inconsistent behaviour and so much more.

πŸ”— Such actions cause a trauma to the system - they break one’s sense of safety and security.

πŸ”— Things can be worked through if people are willing to take mutual accountability and work past the wounds. All towards rebuilding a stronger and better life together.

πŸ”— It is a mutual process in which one has to take real actions and not just talk to earn back trust.

In my therapy practice, families and couples can work through these issues in a caring, fair, empathetic and structured environment.

In an increasingly complicated world, we can all try to bring back that relational magic!
